3 Best Spots for Pink Peach blossoms around Bay Area
So you missed the famous almond blossom season in California—now what? Don’t worry, because the bloom season in the Central Valley is just getting started! After the almond trees fade, another stunning spectacle takes center stage—one of my personal favorites—peach blossoms in California, bursting in beautiful shades of pink!
We set off from the Bay Area on a little road trip, determined to catch the last of the almond blossoms before the season ended. It was the first week of March, and we were feeling pretty confident—until we got there and realized… we were too late. The orchards had already entered their “valley snow” phase, with petals covering the ground instead of the trees. Still beautiful, but not quite the fluffy white blossoms we had been dreaming of.

Just when we thought our flower-chasing adventure was a bust, we stumbled upon something even better—rows and rows of peach trees bursting with baby-pink blooms! It was like walking into a fairytale, and the best part? We had unintentionally shown up at the perfect time for peach blossom season.
So, if you’re looking to find these gorgeous pink orchards for yourself, you’re in luck! This blog post is packed with all the tips you need—where to go, when to visit, and useful tips to find the best farms. Let’s go find some blooms!
When is it the right time for Peach blossoms around the Bay Area?
Peach blossoms start making their grand entrance in early March and usually last until mid-to-late March. However, the exact timing can vary each year depending on weather conditions like rainfall and temperature. A colder winter might push the bloom a little later, while a warm season can bring the blossoms out earlier than expected.

To make sure you catch them at their peak, it’s always a good idea to check bloom updates before heading out. Many local farms post updates on their websites or social media, and visitor centers in the area can also be a great resource. A quick call or a little research can help you time your trip perfectly—because there’s nothing worse than showing up too early (or too late) and missing those dreamy pink rows!
When we visited the Modesto area around March 9, 2025, we found that some farms were just starting to bloom, while others were already in full pink glory. This goes to show how much bloom timing can differ even within the same region!
Where to go for Peach blossoms around the Bay Area?
Peach blossoms don’t bloom all at once, so finding the best orchards takes a little bit of patience and scouting. Some farms may be in peak bloom while others are still budding or already past their prime. If you’re up for a little adventure, this makes for a fun road trip!
When visiting private farms, always be respectful. If you come across a blooming orchard, stay near the front rows while taking photos and avoid wandering deep into the property. Many of these farms are private businesses, and trespassing can damage the trees or disrupt farm operations. Now, let’s talk about where to go!
Modesto and Ripon
We explored the Modesto and Ripon area, and it was absolutely magical! Here are some of the spots we found:
- Rodin Farms – Famous for its almond blossoms, but they also have a peach orchard! It’s a great place to start your bloom hunt.
- Lucca Winery in Ripon – We stumbled upon a breathtaking peach orchard near this winery, and it was hands down one of the most beautiful stops on our trip.
- Scenic Routes to Explore – Drive along the roads between McHenry Avenue and Jacktone Road, especially via East River Road—we found a few farms in bloom along the way!

Fresno
I haven’t made it to Fresno County’s Blossom Trail yet, but it’s definitely on my bucket list for peach blossoms! This scenic route features a mix of almond, plum, apricot, apple, nectarine, and peach blossoms, making it a dream drive for flower lovers. The best part? It’s an established route, so you can follow a mapped-out trail instead of guessing where to go. I can only imagine how stunning the peach orchards must look in peak bloom!
Brentwood
Brentwood is well known for its summer fruit picking, which means many of its farms also have beautiful blooms earlier in the year! While I haven’t explored Brentwood for peach blossoms yet, it’s on my list, and I’m sure there are some gorgeous sightings to be found. Driving through the Brentwood farming areas in early March could reveal some hidden peach orchards waiting to be discovered. The Brentwood Harvest Time website has a list of U-pick farms for every fruit you can think of.
How to get a Bloom Update?
When we were in Modesto, we were eager to see more peach blossoms, but we weren’t sure exactly where to head next. After chatting with some locals, they pointed us in the right direction—the California Welcome Center. Why didn’t we think of calling the tourism center sooner?!

We decided to give it a shot, and it was the best move we made! The team at the Welcome Center was super helpful and gave us the scoop on the latest bloom status. They let us know which farms were currently in full bloom and even shared insider tips on the prettiest spots to visit in the area.
So, if you’re ever in the Central Valley and want the most up-to-date info on peach blossoms, don’t forget to call your local visitor center or tourism office! They’re a great resource and can save you a lot of time on your bloom hunt. Plus, they often have insider knowledge about hidden gems you wouldn’t find on your own.
